Club News
Greetings Club Members,
Last Tuesday, August 1yth we had guest speaker, Perci Garner, III from the Rainbow Connection. We enjoyed pizza, salad and pop and listening to Perci talk about the many wonderful programs the Rainbow Connection offers for area communities.
This coming Tuesday, August 24th we will have club business for updates for the Pancake fundraiser. Susan Miller has volunteered to get the pizza for the meeting.
Please let me know if you plan on attending by Monday, April 23rd at noon.

Pancake Fundraiser News
Drexel Weber has gone out to the community and sold tickets for the pancake fundraiser. Drexel has also been able to have ComDoc print our placemats, so that helps us getting more sponsors this week. The placemats will be printed on Tuesday, August 31st.
Drexel was able to get the following sponsors:
Stoney Point Metals - purchased 17 tickets
EJ Stutzman - $50 sponsorship
MEB Systems - 15 tickets
Hamsher Insurance - $50 sponsorship
Holmes Rental - $50 sponsorship
LuxCraft - $125.00 sponsorship
Sugar Valley Meats - $50 sponsorship
Andreas Furniture - $50 sponsorship
WOOHOO Way to go Drexel!! Thank you for getting these sponsorships for the club!
Bob Harris brought up a good point about the pancake batter mixer station and wondered if Log Cabin Catering would be interested in helping us. I called Linda Schlabach from Log Cabin Catering and she has volunteered to get the pancake mix from Walnut Creek Cheese (as a donation) and pre-mix the batter for us and to bring the containers to us at the event so that we only have to stir and pour into our own Rotary batter containers.
This will reduce our lifting of the heavy bags and volunteers standing on their feet at the mixer all day.
On another note, Susan Miller, has also reached out to Walnut Creek Cheese for donation of the pancake mix and applesauce. We will have the applesauce cups donated as well. Thank you Susan!
Ohio Swiss Festival Volunteers Needed
Every year, the Rotarians have helped Kent Gerber at the Miller Avenue school for the Ohio Swiss Festival Parade sign up. This year, Taylor and Drexel will not be able to help. We will need to have a couple Rotarians volunteer to help me and Kent. The hours would be from 9:30am - 1:00pm. You would help each parade registrar get their parade number and collect payment if needed. Kent does a great job getting this streamlined and easy to do.
If you would like to help Kent, please contact him at 330.473.9556
Donation to the Sugarcreek Rotary Club
The club received a donation of $850.74 from Tax Matters. Jerry Miller sent a letter to the club addressing it as follows:
07.12.2021
"Sugarcreek Rotary Club -
Greater Sugarcreek Community Association was a non-profit that a group of Rotarians, led by Arnie Klaiber, opened in the vision of establishing a community center.
There now is a community center used by students and seniors and the need of the association has dwindled.
The remaining funds are being given to the Rotary club to use as you wish.
Thank you for your support!"
