Greetings Club Members,
We are coming back to our club meeting after having a week off due to our hard work at the Pancake fundraiser. Joe Warkall will have his guest speaker, Preston Miller, from Creative Warehouse Marketing Agency.
We will also have a guest attending our meeting in hopes of having him join our club. Lucas Fox from Edward Jones Financial will be in attendance. Please welcome him and take a moment to introduce yourself.
We will spend a few minutes talking about the Rotary foundation, what our club is about, and what it means to be a Sugarcreek Rotarian. Having two new prospects in the room with us is a great opportunity to grow our club membership!
If anyone would like to help with the meal for tuesday, please let me know right away. I will be out of town tomorrow and won't have time to get anything ordered. Otherwise, I will order from Subway and get a platter if I don't hear back from anyone.
Please let me know if you plan on attending by Monday, September 13th at noon.

Pancake Fundraiser Budget Update
I will have the budget finalized for next meeting on Tuesday, September 21st.
Log Cabin Catering purchased all of our leftover unopened sausage. She was a huge blessing to us by premixing the pancake mix. It looks to be we had about 750 meals served. Our profit is looking pretty good even after the printing of the yard signs and the other cost of goods.
Ohio Swiss Festival Volunteers Needed
Every year, the Rotarians have helped Kent Gerber at the Miller Avenue school for the Ohio Swiss Festival Parade sign up. This year, Taylor and Drexel will not be able to help. We will need to have a couple Rotarians volunteer to help me and Kent. The hours would be from 9:30am - 1:00pm. You would help each parade registrar get their parade number and collect payment if needed. Kent does a great job getting this streamlined and easy to do.

We will not have a club meeting on Tuesday, October 5th because most of us will be volunteering at the Swiss Festival on Friday and Saturday (October 1st and 2nd)
Donation to the Sugarcreek Rotary Club
The club received a donation of $850.74 from Tax Matters. Jerry Miller sent a letter to the club addressing it as follows:

"Sugarcreek Rotary Club -
Greater Sugarcreek Community Association was a non-profit that a group of Rotarians, led by Arnie Klaiber, opened in the vision of establishing a community center.
There now is a community center used by students and seniors and the need of the association has dwindled.
The remaining funds are being given to the Rotary club to use as you wish.
Thank you for your support!"
