Club News
Greetings Club Members,
Last week we had guest speaker, Jodi Salvo from the Anti-Drug Coalition of Personal and Family Counseling. Her presentation on "There is Always Hope" campaign through Ohio Guidestones gave us all important information on what they are providing in our community for addiction services for both the addict and the family members who are exposed to these issues.
This coming Tuesday, November 9th, we will have Judge Adam Wilgus with us.
We will have Park Street Pizza catering the dinner tomorrow, so please let me know if you plan on attending. Park Street has set us up as a House Account with them, so they will deliver to us every Tuesday and bill us monthly. Our bill from Park Street will be end of this month, so the dinner charges will show on your billing cycle starting the first of the year.
Hans Place - Sugarcreek
Debbie Mullen brought up the idea of us meeting at Hans Place. They have a room and Rotarians can order of menu. I will reach out to Hans Place and find out more information.
Lunch Meetings
Tom Brown has presented to the club that he has met with Milo Miller about having luncheon meetings separate from our dinner meetings. The group decided to see what all club members felt about this and if the District Governor would need to be involved on any additional club meetings. I will check into this as well with our DG.
PANCAKE DAY - MARCH 25, 2022
We agreed on Friday, March 25, 2022 as our next Pancake fundraiser. Please mark your calendars and volunteer that day!
Sausage Griller
Susan Miller reached out to Bylers to see if they would be willing to grill our sausage for the upcoming Pancake Fundraiser scheduled for March 25th. Bylers is interested in helping us out and will follow up with more details on this.
Dover Rotary Club - Fundraiser
Drexel Weber brought up the need for the Dover Rotary to use our pancake wheel for their first pancake fundraiser for the Fall of 2022. We voted as a group to allow the Dover club to use the pancake wheel and Bob Eckert volunteered to oversee the delivery and set up of the wheel to the club.
Upcoming 2022 Sugarcreek Rotary Pancake/Health Screen Fundraiser
We also discussed the need for us to get started again on our March-April 2022 Pancake/Health Screen Fundraiser again. We will soon start on getting this set up. We have urgent need to find a sausage griller. Dave Miller from Black Sheep BBQ has sold his equipment and is no longer grilling. Anyone in the club - please reach out to your contacts to find a griller for us. All help is needed to find a griller.
Austin Zinkon Memorial Truck & Tractor Pull Benefit
Update - Fundraiser was a huge success! They were able to give each family $10,000 towards medical expenses!
We discussed the need that Glenda Zinkon has for volunteers and donations for three families that will be helped with medical bills. The club voted and approved for our club to donate $1000 to this event to help the families. We also have members interested in helping on this day. I have reached out to Glenda to find out what spots she has available for volunteers.

Pancake Fundraiser Budget Update
We should have an updated budget from Kevin North so we can finalize the pancake fundraiser monies.
Donation to the Sugarcreek Rotary Club
The club received a donation of $850.74 from Tax Matters. Jerry Miller sent a letter to the club addressing it as follows:
07.12.2021
"Sugarcreek Rotary Club -
Greater Sugarcreek Community Association was a non-profit that a group of Rotarians, led by Arnie Klaiber, opened in the vision of establishing a community center.
There now is a community center used by students and seniors and the need of the association has dwindled.
The remaining funds are being given to the Rotary club to use as you wish.
Thank you for your support!"
