NO MEETING TONIGHT - SEE YOU ON DEC. 14th

 

We had to reschedule our meeting tonight due to a large number of members could not attend tonight.  On top of that, the UCC has no internet service for us to do the ZOOM meeting.  I contacted Maddie and rescheduled for Dec. 14th. 

 

DON'T FORGET - if you have not signed up to help with the Salvation Army ringing the bell - please do so.  We have 3 spots open for Saturday, December 4th. 

 

 

This coming Tuesday, November 30th, we will have a ZOOM presentation meeting with our guest speaker, Maddy Meiser.  She will talk about her activities as Ohio Swiss Festival Queen. 

 

I will have my chromebook and presentation screen set up for the ZOOM Call at the church.  However, if you want to attend the ZOOM meeting from your own personal phone or computer at home, please email me that you would like to be included in the zoom conference meeting email.  

 

We will not have dinner served.  This will be a short presentation.  

 

Tom Brown passed around the sign up sheet for Bell Ringing at Riesbeck's Food Market for the Salvation Army.  Please see secondary email on the sign up sheet.  We have 5 open spots to fill. Sign up dates are for Friday, December 3rd and Saturday, December 4th.  

 

I will not be able to help this year as Justin will be having surgery during this time.  I will not be able to have a Rotary Meeting on December 7th because of Justin's surgery.  We will meet on December 14th. 

 

 

Debbie Mullen brought up the idea of us meeting at Hans Place.  They have a room and Rotarians can order of menu.  I will reach out to Hans Place and find out more information. 

 

Tom Brown has presented to the club that he has met with Milo Miller about having luncheon meetings separate from our dinner meetings.  The group decided to see what all club members felt about this and if the District Governor would need to be involved on any additional club meetings.  I will check into this as well with our DG. 

 

We agreed on Friday, March 25, 2022 as our next Pancake fundraiser. Please mark your calendars and volunteer that day!

 

Susan Miller reached out to Bylers to see if they would be willing to grill our sausage for the upcoming Pancake Fundraiser scheduled for March 25th.  Bylers is interested in helping us out and will follow up with more details on this. 

 

 

 

Drexel Weber brought up the need for the Dover Rotary to use our pancake wheel for their first pancake fundraiser for the Fall of 2022.  We voted as a group to allow the Dover club to use the pancake wheel and Bob Eckert volunteered to oversee the delivery and set up of the wheel to the club.  

 

We also discussed the need for us to get started again on our March-April 2022 Pancake/Health Screen Fundraiser again.  We will soon start on getting this set up.  We have urgent need to find a sausage griller.  Dave Miller from Black Sheep BBQ has sold his equipment and is no longer grilling.  Anyone in the club - please reach out to your contacts to find a griller for us.  All help is needed to find a griller.  

 

Update - Fundraiser was a huge success!  They were able to give each family $10,000 towards medical expenses! 

 

We discussed the need that Glenda Zinkon has for volunteers and donations for three families that will be helped with medical bills.  The club voted and approved for our club to donate $1000 to this event to help the families.  We also have members interested in helping on this day.  I have reached out to Glenda to find out what spots she has available for volunteers.

We met last week and discussed club positions to help get our club moving forward with additional fundraisers, mentoring, and growing our membership.
